this is not the rainforest

this is the grass in my backyard. don't ask me how the lawn mower is going to cut this down. it has been raining so much these last few days that when I remarked to my neighbors how glorious it was when the sun came out they both replied, "yeah, but it's going to rain again later today." I got the feeling they didn't want to get their hopes up as if the sun being out was just a fluke and we shouldn't go and get all used to it and start expecting it everyday. we did have some drizzles on and off yesterday but mostly it was quite sunny. in fact I expect after all that sun and last night's rain, this grass will be twice as high by this morning.

I love that your grass is so full and high. So... natural.

Yeah, it's raining very hard as I type this comment. Will there ever be a perfect couple of days -- not too hot, not too cold, not raining? ;-)

Stay dry,
Paz

woohoo, Miss Lilly, good luck mowing THAT! We have a crazy rainforest lawn too, but til my daughter leaves for college in August I can still make HER fight it out with the lawnmower :-)

Lol, maybe you should look into getting a reaper or a cow.

Are you sure it's not a rain forest? We've had a bit of unseasonal rain here on the other coast and Hubby is wondering how he will mow.

Town of Hempstead is using goats as natural mowers at Norman Levy Preserve. Maybe you can borrow them? ;-)

You'll have a beautiful lawn if you can just get the lawn mower to cut that forest! Too bad you're not closer, or I'd send a couple of horses over to help you.

I was worried this would be a boring post and I'm afraid it would have been if not for your comments making me either smile or laugh out loud. Thanks everyone, you made my day!
Hasn't all this rain been crazy? It has made everything so green, however.
