if you click on this photo, you can see the snowflake more easily.
taken wednesday night sometime around 4:30 pm somewhere on jericho turnpike in mineola. I was noticing the light in the sky was such a beautiful blue and then I noticed the pretty lit up snowflake. can you see it? I am glad to see one town has thought to leave their holiday decorations up a little longer than most. they sure are cheery.
to see more beautiful skies from all around the world, thanks to Klaus & his team, sandy, ivar, wren, and the fishing guy, please go here.

Nice evening feeling. That small house is cute.
makes a pretty picture
Nice shot, I can't believe how small that house is.
Cheers!

Lovely composition. I see you have snowflakes on the ground too..
I like the lights against the pure blue sky.
Really nice picture. Leave it to Mineola to leave their Christmas decorations up through January. I'm sure it's pretty, but personally, I don't want Christmas to last quite this long.
Yep, I saw it!! Neat idea with the snowflake. That's a big one! =)
Mountain Retreat
Cute giant snowflake.
I love all Long Island details
nice evening shot...like the snowflake too :)
have a wonderful weekend.
Don't remind me — I still have some Christmas decorations out! But I do love that snowflake — very pretty.
Yes, it's a pretty snowflake against the sky. No reason a snowflake has to be only for Christmas. I'd have no problem seeing it up awhile longer.
Were's the snow flake??? :-)
Beautiful and deep blue.
What a beautiful snowflake! I have an award for you on my blog, for you were one of the visitors! Have a great weekend!
Notice the temperature is 10 degrees? Pgma
That is a lovely photo, perfect for Sky Watch Friday to share little glimpses of the sky from your place with all the twinkling little stars.
It is indeed a lovely sky. And I love snowflakes so what an added treat too. Plus it's sort of nice to still see seasonal lights up. :) Thank you for stopping by Seguin and leaving the comment! It's always nice to make a new friend. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful image, Lily!
But I really don't see the snowflake in the sky!!! (Perhaps it's my screen fault)
Hi tr3nta, & Pietro & for anyone else who has missed it, the snowflake is the light on the pole brightly lit next to the little house. It's at an angle so I can see how you might miss it.
Great shot. Taking down Christmas decorations has to be one of the most depressing tasks - nice that you still have some around to enjoy.
very chrismassy feeling about it. great shot.
I like the snowflake left up also, it is so winter. Nice shot,
