at the end of a very grey tuesday, the sun started to set turning the sky a beautiful blue. I noticed the candy cane as I waited at the traffic light. yesterday we had torrential rains most of the day. at one point I waited half an hour before leaving my car. finally I couldn't wait any longer and pretty much got soaked as I ran into the village hall to pay this years water bill. is it just me, or would you describe that last sentence as a bit ironic?
You have heard of LI & its many stereotypes? You wonder if they may be true but wish not to risk visiting in the event that they are. Be bold then & visit me daily & I promise I will show you many sides of Long Island that you will be both amazed & inspired by.

Ha! Better than getting struck by lighting on your way to pay your electric bill!
I love candy canes, small and large.
Love it!
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Great shot.
I love the irony, soaked on the way to pay your water bill, but I agree with Bibi, better than lightning/electric bill - good one, Bibi.
