an army of christmas cheer

without fail this house decorates their front lawn for every holiday throughout the year. their christmas decorations standing all in a row at the ready remind me of a small army. with christmas being a mere ten days away, everyone in our neighborhood seems to be putting up their holiday decorations.
if you'd like to see what is happening in other parts of the world, please go here to that's my world tuesday, generously hosted by klaus, sandy, ivar, wren, fishing guy & louise.

Nice shot and definitely Christmasy. There's almost a little village on that lawn.

This one looks nice. If we continue to have nothing but rain, I don't think I'll get to see too many Christmas lights.

It's amazing! Some people go ALL out, don't they?

That's a lot of stuff, but it doesn't look messy. I like the order to it.

There are so many beautiful Christmas traditions and I love all of them,
But I believe that the spirit of Christmas has been diluted by commercialism and other human self interests.
I wish people would show their Christ spirit all year long, not only on special occasions.

I know what you mean Buddha. I think the silver lining in the dark cloud of our bad economy is helping people do just that.
Almost everyone I know is scaling back on their consumerism and looking for more meaningful alternative ways to celebrate the season.

Funny how the house disappears in to the blackness leving only the christmas lights to be seen. Lovely decorations.
