without fail this house decorates their front lawn for every holiday throughout the year. their christmas decorations standing all in a row at the ready remind me of a small army. with christmas being a mere ten days away, everyone in our neighborhood seems to be putting up their holiday decorations.

That's a lot of stuff, but it doesn't look messy. I like the order to it.
There are so many beautiful Christmas traditions and I love all of them,
But I believe that the spirit of Christmas has been diluted by commercialism and other human self interests.
I wish people would show their Christ spirit all year long, not only on special occasions.
I know what you mean Buddha. I think the silver lining in the dark cloud of our bad economy is helping people do just that.
Almost everyone I know is scaling back on their consumerism and looking for more meaningful alternative ways to celebrate the season.
