one of my favorite things about easter is going to the polish bakery known as dudek's over in copaigue. here you see a traditional easter cake. their pastries and breads are fresh and delicious. they are also a nice change from the usual standards you find in a typical american bakery. if you love a sort of cake like bread, try their babka, it is superb.

Looks yummy to me. I don´t think there is any available near me.
no Polish bakery in Besançon ... I'd like to taste :)
These sweets are displayed so well in the window. Nice shot, Lily
It all looks so wonderful! I love some of these old time European bakeries - Polish, German, Swedish, whatever.
Delicious-looking!
Happy Easter!

Ah babka .. has to wait til after Pesach .. but oh I love babka
The great advantage about this bakery is you can buy half of a cake. The cakes are made mostly like sheet cakes. Such a large assortment, deciding which one I want to try is the hardest part. Also their delicious jelly donuts are a must. PGma
The whole display looks delicious. I'd try it all.
Yum! I have no idea what those things are, but they sure look fancy and good! Where is that bakery?? I'll have to pay a visit sometime.
Hi I live in Brooklyn --the other "Long Island" :-) I found your through Elizabeth's blog.
I found this post so interesting as my grandmother was from the Ukraine and lived in Pennsylvania and my mother always talked about her neighbors, the Dudek's!
I'd love to visit this bakery someday to bring soem Polish pastery to my Mom. My brother lives in Bayshore so it's not that far away from Copaigue. Would you be able to e-mail the adress to me? My contact is on my blog profile--thanks so much!
