I didn't get any daffodils for today

Grape-Hyacinths-in-Farmingdale-2009

but I did manage to find these beautiful grape hyacinths. the sun was glorious if only for a few hours yesterday morning. passing by a wooded area I noticed a shock of deep blue shimmering brightly. lovely, don't you think? if you enlarge the photo you can see some forsythia in the background as well.

What a lovely photo. I love grape hyacinths. No smell, but COLOR and VIGOR and they even have green leaves when all else is sleeping. Beautiful.

I am glad everyone liked the blue carpet!

Daryl, I was driving on the L.I.E. when it started to flurry. At one point it was actually raining, snowing and cloudy while the sun was shining. I had to laugh.

Priscilla, this was on Bethpage Road right in between the Bethpage Golf Course & Northside school.
