33 variations

awhile back I was reading new york portraits where the author kitty, wrote about the many plays on Broadway featuring famous actors. her post reminded me that I was long overdue for a play. wednesday my husband & I had cause for celebration & so we thought, why not go see a play? I always get my tickets through broadwaybox.com. and wednesday I got tickets to "33 variations" with jane fonda at the last possible moment for a mere $59! We sat in the fourth row in an aisle seat. the show was a superb theatrical experience. I had no idea tom hanks had a son, colin, who was an actor who also happened to be in the show. the other actors were amazing as well, especially samantha mathis, zach grenier, don amendolia, erik steele and susan kellerman. diane walsh played the piano throughout the show. her music was exquisite. I did get in trouble at one point during the intermission for taking pictures. it really hurt having to delete two of them as one of the ushers stood over me demanding that I do so. after the show we waited at the stage door for the actors. jane was gracious greeting everyone as she exited the building. if you are interested, you can see ms. fonda's blog here. tomorrow I will be back with a picture from long island.

I'm sooo sorry to hear that you had to delete pictures. (I've turned off all the sound settings on my camera—they may see me, but they won't hear me!)
Wharever you were celebrating, sounds like you had a fun time (despite the evil usher).
Anyway, I am here to send my regards from my mum that she's feeling better and she'll be home tomorrow.
Thank you for your good thoughts and that's really much appreciated with her family.
God Bless.
I'm glad to see you had a good time on your visit in!
