I owe a big thanks to my brother and twin nieces for this weeks skywatch post. sitting in their den they witnessed this hawk land in a tree in their front yard, "... then in a glorious flap of its wings the hawk soared to the backyard." my niece described quite a show where a nearby squirrel froze in fear while other smaller birds attacked the hawk from behind. after about three minutes, the hawk flew away, but not before swooping down giving a man driving by in a car cause for concern. if you'd like to see other more beautiful skywatch scenes from around the world, please go here, thanks to klaus & his team, sandy, ivar, wren, fishing guy & louise.

Two small birds can get ride of a smart hawk. It happens very often.
