marigolds

I love marigolds. I plant them all over my yard in the spring. some go in pots and some go directly into the ground around our perennial flower beds that need a little filling in here and there.
please visit "today's flowersif you'd like to see more beautiful blooms or if you'd like to add your own.

Marigolds are always a cheerful sight. No wonder you plant them in many places!

So cheerful, Lily, and the pots are a lovely combination with them.

I love them, too, especially their fragrance. In a few moments I'm going to hunt up some photos of MASSES of marigolds I took in India. I'll send you one.

And here I thought I was the only person who likes the fragrance of marigolds! They are such cheery little flowers!

Sorry to say that marigold are not flowers I cherish much. But being flowers they deserve all the attention.

Hi Lily

Very pretty!I like how marigolds last well into the fall as long as they are "dead headed" occasionally.

PS: the exhibit runs until August 15 so you still have time to see it!

I think most other flowers are jealous of marigolds. Except may roses and the like.

Ah, yes, marigolds! They were my mom's favorites, and altho' she's been gone many years now, they always make me think of her and smile. Thank you for today's smile!! ~karen

Sweet marigolds .. all mine died .. too much rain, not enough drain ... and then the begonias/impatiens were dug up by over zealous squirrels .. sigh .. so pretty ...

I planted marigolds once because - I know I'm vain - they have my name in them. But they died. Or perhaps I killed them. Some people have green thumbs. Mine. Are. Black.

Lovely, lovely photo.
