the american dream, completely subject to one's own interpretation. undoubtedly, this is one person's idea of what that might be. for some it could just be a one bedroom apartment of their own, for another, it could be a decent meal every night. whatever the case may be, it's important we all have a dream.

What a thoughtful, interesting, intriguing post and photo, Lily! And we do all have our dreams, don't we? What an interesting species we are! It seems to me that the older I get, the simpler my dreams, but with a greater depth hopefully than the dreams from my early twenties. Many of them have been realized -- some I'm glad never were! Thanks for the food for thought! Hope you have a beautiful week!

Yes we all live with the American dream in the head! Is it still realistic? That's another chapter.
I'll ask our children about the American dream and will get back to you...
Gee, that's one HIGH truck. You could make a studio under it!
I have to laugh whenever I see a vehicle with these monster tires. But, hey, to each his own! Nice capture.
I liked your comments. They made me pause to think about my dreams. You did a great job putting the photo with the comments. Thanks for sharing.
no for me
I hope these people are happy with their version of The Dream. The gas guzzler in the driveway makes me suspect they are never really satisfied. But yes, we all must have a dream.
lol, I bet the car is someone's dream, too.
Yes, it's all relative, isn't it, the dream. Working in an aesthetic field, you run into differences of taste all the time. It's remarkable that we used to live in a world of absolutes.
Hope you are having a good week, Lily!
The truck makes me chuckle. Wonderful post with food for thought.
I wonder where they keep the ladder ...
Oh my word! That's a funny shot.
Monster truck? Bleh! If they make 'em I guess that means someone's buying 'em...
RE: Someone's American dream
Definitely...
LOL! That MUST be his/her dream. ;-)

You could almost step out of the tailgate and through the front window! To each his own is a good piece of the dream we share. Very interesting.

hope that you enjoy some awards.
That truck. That's just. Nuts. But what an interesting photo to go along with your even more interesting thoughts about the American Dream. Is it still alive? Is it skewed? Is it evolving?
