Reflections on Cherry Pie
Does anyone have any idea how long it takes to pit four cups of cherries? Only 'cause that's how many cups you need to make one cherry pie. Then when it's two hours later, and you are all done pitting them? You see you are half a cup short, but by that time you don't care and just use what you have. This year I found a new pie crust recipe in my mother's 'Betty Crocker's Picture Cookbook'. It was the easiest pie crust recipe I ever made, probably because Betty Crocker believed in using pictures to guide amateur bakers like myself! I had a feeling it would taste really good when I was making it and guess what? It was sooo freaking good and sooo worth it all. Please go here if you'd like to see how I made my cherry pie.

cool scenery and great colors, that´s what i wanted to write;-)
have a good one
I bet your pie will be delicious. I'm not sure if I've ever had a pie from fresh cherries rather than canned.
: ) I want to make another one for Father's Day - I hope I have time!
The old Betty Crocker cookbooks are the best. Wish I still had my mother's.

I love where you say "... but by that time you don't care"
No dear, it is Winter now down under!
We are on the opposite side of the world.
What is day to you, it's night to us. What is hot to you, it is cold to us. Something like that.
Thanks for the visit.
E-mail a slice of this to ol'«Louis» willya?
He's got some Breyer's Vanilla Ice Cream in the freezer that will be just right with this and a hot cup of «Louis'» Holy Cow Blend coffee!
(Pardon «Louis'» shameless plug for his coffee...)
Great reflection shot!
And thanks for the info on the ban in CA.
