beautiful woman

I love the serene look on this woman's face. she seems so full of life, and completely in the moment, totally at ease and undeterred by her nakedness. According to the MET, this piece was done in 1927 by american sculptor gaston lachaise.
notice how the reflections of light perfectly highlight this sculpture. if you'd like to see more reflections or join in the fun, please check out james of newtown area photo's wonderful weekend reflection meme. thanks james!

Happy Saturday, Lily!

Yes, I like this too, all the more because she's a 'real' woman, i.e. not bone-thin!

I like best how you describe her as being totally at ease with her nakedness. I wish more women would feel as comfortable with their bodies, whatever their shape!

I agree with Hilda and Bibi, this woman is comfortable with her nakedness and with her body as it is. Wish more of us could say the same! Terrific post/photo for the day, Lily! Enjoy your weekend!

She has a very strong body, kind of reflecting her inner strength. I remember seeing this work many years ago. Some things one remembers always. PGma
She really is lovely - the photography is super!
