wonder bread

I took this photo one recent early evening when the light illuminating the bark on this sycamore tree caught my eye. at least I think it's a sycamore tree. does anyone know? I hadn't noticed the wonder bread bakery outlet in the background until I enlarged this picture on my computer. has anyone ever thought of wonder bread as bakery food?

I didn't think Wonder Bread was still made. Is it not part of the Hostess chain? There used to be a second-day baked goods Hostess store near our house where I used to buy bread (Wonder!) to feed the ducks...probably wasn't too good for them...

When I lived on LI I used to go to those bakery outlets. They were actually very good, and our tribe consumed a lot of their products.

I do like the light on that tree!

Great shot, I think you are right about it being a Sycamore, we had Sycamore trees in our yard in Utah when I was growing up and the bark looks familiar.

I was going to say the bakery is now a sound stage but that's Silver Cup not Wonder Bread ... now I need to Google since I know its not made in a small local bakery .. and I wonder if Wonder Bread knows its logo/brand name is being used ...

There is still a Wonder bread outlet in Melville. Many years ago I would buy there. PGma.

nice shot of the tree. I recently passed that outlet myself and thought I've only ever been in there once in my life. I will admit, there's nothing like fresh white wonder bread!

No, I do not consider Wonder a bakery product. The only time I use it (or actually its cheaper generic brand cousin) is for Thanksgiving stuffing.

wow there's something odd about that tree, with the lighting. It looks surreal, like a painting.
