another skywatch

please click on photo to enlarge for greater details

this was taken at a shopping center in farmingdale called airport plaza last weekend. the sun was setting and the sky was changing rapidly putting on quite a show. it was awesome to watch. I must have snapped 50 pictures which made it hard to choose one for today. there is beauty all around us, even if you are in a shopping center. go here for more skies to watch all around the world.

This is a beautiful sunset. I hope some of those people paused from their shopping and noticed it.

beautiful. great blog btw. I read your article in Newsday and finally yesterday got a chance to check it out. As a fellow Fdaler, I recognized so many of your shots! I commute from the station every day and have lived (or visited) pretty much all my life in Fdale and it is a great town.

This shot looks to me from the area outside Stew Leonards! Nice.

I know what you mean Bobbie, we should all take time to stop and smell the roses.

Thanks fellow F'daler. You are right it is directly outside of Stew Leonards.

Thank you my dear dear SIL Lisa, I wasn't here for skywatch so I'm going to go see yours now!

Louis thank you too, I'll be over to see you in San Fran today as well!

Beautiful colours, you captured a great moment here.

Interesting post, Lily - both image and text. The colours are quite impressive and I agree, that speed is of the essence as the sky changes so rapidly.

Great sunset and I think parking lot is a good backdrop. The lights above the parkinglot add a nice touch too.

Nice shot, if you were shopping, you probably didn't have the time to really enjoy the full sunset. Pity.

It really IS fun to watch how fast the sky changes when there are sunsets like this. Every second paints a new masterpiece!

This one is so different. I guess of the two blogs I would have to go with this post.

My Sky Watch Friday blog is at my
Canon Pixels
blog. If you have time I would appreciate your having a look at the sky peeking through the oak tree leaves./a>
