Summer Night
Someday I will learn to take really excellent photos at night. Until that happens, I will be posting blurry looking night photos! When I was out taking an evening stroll I looked up to see this tree bathed in light by a street lamp with the last bits of blue sky leftover from the day. This reminded me of something one would see in a Maxfield Parrish painting. I was pleased that what I was seeing was actually showing up on the camera, even if it is a bit blurry.

Don't you wish, as I do, that we artists could DROP the ever present EGO and just see the true beauty in our own work without trying to draw attention to its flaws?
This picture is great. It has the perfect contrast of colors, and just the right amount of blurry to give it a mystical feel.
EGO DROP!
Even a tiny blur is noticeable. It's funny how focus can instantly heighten the quality of a photograph.
I know the feeling though. It's that bluish sky that you want to capture. It's a lovely shade, slightly purply and intense.
& Unicorns, I like what you said, you made me laugh out loud.
