halloween sky

I took this photo last halloween evening while walking through the neighborhood of garden city. it has hundreds of mature trees and beautiful plantings so the name garden city suits it perfectly.
I'll never forget taking this photo because I really didn't believe I would be able to capture the dark silhouette of the trees against the vivid colors of the sky. much to my amazement, this is exactly what the sky looked like.
don't you love it when a photo comes out just the way you want it too? please go here if you would like to see more beautiful photos of the sky from all around the world.

WOW! Gorgeous picture!
Perfect framed and captured.
Wonderful picture with a fabulous name; Hallowe'en Sky is a perfect title! Very nice and happy autumn season to you. I also enjoyed reading in your other blog; good luck with the continued success of poundage loss.

Lily that is a fantastic photo and I know how hard it is to capture the colours at that split second because the colour fades so rapidly. The silhouettes are great.

There'just one teeny weeny detail missing, I know it's hard to photograph moving objects or subjects as the case may be. I wonder how you could have missed me, I was the one with the black cat riding tandem. We zoomed by a couple of times to give you a fair go too!
Ah well...it's a pretty good shot the way it is too.

I'll never forget the night before halloween one time when the moon was orange as a pumpkin - like the sky. It was extremely beautiful but quite eerie as well. Great post!

Wow, you certainly have the correct name for that sky.
