it's beginning to look a lot like christmas...

only halloween isn't even over yet! I would say that with our current economy the stores have to start the holiday season early, though we all know I would be fooling myself. in america, stores traditionally stock christmas items early. yesterday while stopping over at hicks nurseries, we went from checking out their halloween story about otto the ghost to seeing what pretty christmas things they had for sale in their lovely gift shop. personally, I love these classic glass ornaments. I also think the shadows in this display bring out the old world charm that make these trinkets so appealing.

Oh your joyful shadow shot makes me want to start singing Christmas carols! I'll try to hold off a little longer before annoying those around me with my horrible signing voice... It's a lovely photo!

Congrats on your BFF award. Oh & of course congrats on the other one to :) I'm looking forward to checking out your recipients. I already know the first two & I'm a fan of their blogs, so the rest must be awesome also!

Yes, here in Iowa, people are already asking where our Christmas stuff is...I just hate that about Christmas, rushed all too quickly, but pretty shot.

Congratulations on your awards, both very well deserved. And thank you so very much for honoring me with the bff. I do appreciate it. I'm anxious to investigate the others on your list.

Your shadow picture today is so wonderful. I love glass ornaments too, and these are really beautiful. You are right - the shadows add so much to their beauty. They almost put me into the Christmas spirit - but not quite yet.
Oh, I'm so not ready for Christmas...but your bulbs and their shadows are lovely!

Too soon - too soon
except I did the photo a lot
the J.Jill catalogue for Xmas came yesterday and it was all very simple. Maybe this weekend is the final fling of orange?
I love the changes in the seasons and our decor to match........

I agree with you, glass ornaments are so beautiful. My favorite. Your title is perfect because the shadows were so subtle that at first I thought it was just a picture of Christmas ornaments. Then the shadows peaked out at me! Yes, I've been trying to hibernate (just a little) trying to soak in all the holiday time with my fam (You know how fast time flies from Halloween To Christmas). Anyway, hibernating is easier said than done. I'm pretty sure I'm a SSS addict!

Congratulations Lily!!
Beautiful photo of the decorations even though they seem to be out way too early.
Crazy isn't it?? It will come fast though....November is almost here!

"Louis" thanks you! He would bow, but he finds that, being une vache, this poses problems...
What a nice way to start the day and the new week!
