I found these photos I took from yesterday and thought the shadow was fitting for october.
here you see a simple halloween decoration doing double duty- provided the sun is shining on it that is. I love the pale orange glow the sun is casting on the shingles of the house.

ps Love your blog...helps me overcome my "homesickness" for NY as I ahve spent quite a bit of time visiting my dauhgter there over the last six years or so...and more recently a couple of months this year when she had her first baby...I miss everything!
